San Fracisco bay area New Wave Indie band - The FEEL (1981- 82)

The FEEL was a 3 piece band formed in 1981 in San Jose, California.  Members consisted of Colby Pollard (Bass Guitar & Vocals), Joe Rizzi (Drums & Vocals), and Jeff Tracy (Guitar & Vocals).  The group started as a recording project, and soon blossomed into a full fledged performance band that played many of the best clubs in the San Francisco bay area, including opening for major acts such as ‘Huey Lewis & the News’.  The band released a 4 song self produced EP in 1981 titled, ‘First Feel’.  Local airplay led to an  increasing number of live appearances at clubs such as the Keystone Palo Alto, Keystone San Francisco, The Berkeley Square, The Home Grown Music Festival at Bee Stadium,  and The San Jose State Student Ballroom, just to name a few.

During a period of about 18 months the band formed, evolved into a live performance group, and recorded about 2 albums worth of material. Most of which has never been released.  However, guitarist/vocalist Jeff Tracy is currently remixing and mastering unreleased tracks that will be combined with the 4 from the ‘First FEEL’ EP to create a full album showcasing much more of the band's musical efforts.  – The album is currently expected to drop in late Fall of 2024.
