I've always been a HUGE Sci-Fi fan! Fell in love with Star Trek immediately upon seeing the airing of its 1st episode. Spock is such a HUGE presence throughout the series and movies. The scenes that give us a glimpse of life on Vulcan, with storms and erupting volcanoes, served as inspiration for this piece. -- Fun fact: The thunder heard on the the track was recorded in stereo live from my music room windows (1 directional microphone was placed in each) during one of the frequent storms that visit Austin, Texas.
