This track is based on a riff that came out of nowhere after a recording session at my studio in San Jose, CA (Astral Sounds Recording). Joe Rizzi on drums, Colby Pollard on bass, and me on guitar [we had a 3 piece band at the time named The FEEL]. From the beginning it was intended to be an instrumental. This turned out to be the last time the 3 of us would record together, and the only time that all 3 of us contributed to writing music together. The basic tracks were recorded using tape. The backwards guitars were created by turning the tape reel over so as to play the basic tracks backwards while recording what would become the 'backwards' guitars once the reel was turned over back to its original/normal orientation for recording and playback.
