My good friend, and ex-bandmate from 'Blue Cartoon' Lee Elliott originally wrote a song titled 'Women & Guitars'. We lived in Austin, Texas at the time. I asked him if he would give me permission to write my own set of lyrics for the song, and to retitle it as 'Cowboy Bars, Women & Guitars'. He said, "Yes". This track captures the music he wrote along with the words I felt the song needed. Lee is a gifted lyricist, but I felt my idea for the song's direction somehow seemed a better fit. -- Hope you enjoy our collaboration!
