This is my instrumental tribute and 'Thank You' to my all time favorite electric guitar player, 'Jeff Beck'. Beck has been a great inspiration, and influence on my guitar playing since his days in the Yardbirds, when I was just a kid teaching myself how to play. -- He will be missed by many, and for a very long time. The artwork photo was taken by Jack Sielaff at the Filmore West in 1968 during the 'TRUTH' tour. Jack has always been a music enthusiast, and attended many concerts (thanks to Jack, and his younger brother, my dear friend, and often bandmate, Jeff Sielaff, for giving me this photo many years ago). NOTE: This track was released prior to the No Words for It CD, and does not include the drum track used for the final version of this piece.

Moments In Time is the first solo release from Blue Cartoon songwriter and guitarist Jeff Tracy. Jeff’s writing style and sound reflect a strong Beatles influence without sounding derivative. Known for his tasty guitar riffs and tonal textures, Jeff also handles lead vocal duties on most tracks. Jeff is joined on this effort by members of Blue Cartoon and other musical colleagues. Several tunes were penned by Jeff’s brother, Dennis Tracy, and brought to life by Jeff’s skills at arrangement and production. Moments In Time is the perfect choice for adding some melodic pop spice to Adult Alternative and Americana formats.

Downtown Shangri La shows the band moving from a Roots Rock/Power Pop sound to a more heavily British Invasion inspired Power Pop. -- As with the band's self-titled debut release, our music was once again critically acclaimed by a bevy of reviewers. The band played assorted live shows in Texas, and was invited to play in a variety of IPO (International Pop Overthrow) Festivals in other parts of the U.S. that were organized and hosted by Power Pop enthusiast David Bash.

The 'Wonder Of It All' CD was released in 2002. It was important to the band that we not stagnate. We had discussions about the direction each new album release would take before beginning the recording process. The 'Wonder Of It All' was the 2nd of 3 releases produced by the band, and this time with the assistance of California-based Paul A. Fox.

New to the equation was the change of lead vocalist, from John McElhenney (who moved on to solo pursuits) to David Loren. We also had a talented Special Guest (John Valadez) assisting on guitars, keyboards, and vocals. David and John 'V' brought new enthusiasm to the band's evolving direction. As such, the stage was set for venturing deeper into a more edgy version of Blue Cartoon as highlighted by the CDs closing song 'Center Of The Universe'.

Sit back, turn it UP, and ENJOY!
